草蛉智慧化生產系統 模組化設計節省成本

 

    天敵昆蟲為一生物防治方法,運用此生物防治技術,可有效減少害蟲數量,臺大生物產業機電工程學系教授江昭皚領學生開發草蛉智慧化生產系統,採模組化設計,可自由增加草蛉生產量,降低成本。

 

    生機系解釋,使用天敵昆蟲防治法中,草蛉即是其中一種被廣泛利用的捕食性昆蟲,除了能捕食蚜蟲,還能捕食葉蟎、粉蝨、介殼蟲及多種小型害蟲,國外已成功將草蛉應用於番茄、胡瓜、草莓、茄子等作物的害蟲防治上。而目前草蛉的生產仰賴人工飼養,需要投入大量的人力、物力與時間成本,因此天敵產品的價格昂貴且產量有限。

 

    有鑑於此,台大生機教授系江昭皚與學生林弘人致力於開發草蛉智慧化生產系統,此系統採用模組化設計,可以因應需求自由地增加草蛉之生產量。而自動化生產工廠建置完成後將可節省九成人事成本,使這項天敵商品的使用成本降低,且由於廠內所有機構皆已模組化,因此有利於海內外各地設置自動化生產工廠,節省商品運輸的成本及避免各國海關規定不一等問題,使此產業得以規模化、國際化。

Prof. Joe-Air Jiangat Department of Biomechatronics Engineering led a research group to develop an intelligent production system for lacewings, which adopts a modular design to freely increase the production of lacewings while reducing costs. Prof. Jiangexplained that lacewings are one of the most widely used predatory insects in biocontrol. In addition to preying on aphids, they also prey on spider mites, whiteflies, scale insects, and a number of other small pests. Their use has been successful abroad. Lacewings are applied to pest control in crops such as tomato, courgette, strawberry, and eggplant. At present, the production of lacewings relies on artificial breeding, which requires extensive manpower, material resources, and time, making lacewing products expensive and limited in output. The new system is cheaper, faster, and requires fewer resources.
